LS. The writer acknowledges the addressee's letters of 26 March [see SOCG 462] and 15 April [1826]. He maintains that both Demers and Turgeon and worthier candidates than Signay (and they might be forced to accept the coadjutorship), that a decision must be made whether the choice of the coadjutor is the privilege of the abp. or of the British goverment (since the latter replaced the French government), and mentions Chaboillez. PF S. Re PF's answers of 14 October [see Lettere 255, by Della Somaglia] and 9 December [see Lettere 259, by Caprano] 1826.
