C. Lambert, vicar apostolic in Newfoundland, is seriously ill and wishes to retire and return to Ireland. [In the CG of 6 March 1815; see Acta 019-020], PF agreed to replace Lambert with the Recollet Scallan, suggested by the bp., on whom favourable information was received [in Troy's letter to PF of 15 June and to Argenti of 29 August 1814; see C 46]. The addressee must forward a certified C of Lambert's renunciation to the writer, so that the appointment can be made.
