As for Canada, the following bishoprics are listed: [1] Briand, bp. of Québec, appointed on 21 January 1766 [see Calendar 1622-1799, IV 130-131]; [2] Mariauchau d'Esgly, bp. of "Dolca" [recte Dorylea], coadjutor of the bp. of Québec [Briand], 22 January 1772 [see Calendar 1622-1799, IV 99 145]; [3] Hubert, bp. of Almyra, coadjutor of the bp. of Québec [Mariauchau d'Esgly], 14 June 1785 [see Calendar 1622-1799, IV 156 353]; [4] Bailly de Messein, bp. of Capsa, coadjutor of the bp. of Québec [Hubert], 26 September 1788 [see Calendar 1622-1799, IV 157 345, VI 205];

[5] Denaut, bp. of Canatha, coadjutor of the bp. of Québec [Hubert], 30 September 1794 [see Calendar 1622-1799, IV 161-162 359]; [6] the Recollet J.L. O'Donel, bp. of Thyatira, [later] vicar apostolic in Newfoundland, 9 [recte 5] January 1796 [see Calendar 1622-1799, IV 165 367]. [The balance of this item deals with the United States, Albania, the Archipelago, Egypt, Ethiopia, Mesopotamia, Persia, Rumania].
