ALS. The writer acknowledges the addressee's letter of 6 November [1810], which he has already answered. While Plessis is in Rome, his coadjutor [Panet] received the abp. of Baltimore [Maréchal]'s letter and sent to him: [1] the exeat granted to [C.] Ffrench on 26 February 1816 [see in SOCG 145]; [2] the interdict of 15 June 1817 [see in SOCG 145]; [3] [Plessis's] very harsh letter [to Ffrench] of 26 August 1817 [see in SOCG 145]. Greetings from [C.-M. Boucher de] Boucherville and from the bp. of Saldes [Panet], thanks from Judge Perrault for the letter forwarded to him (the answer is herewith enclosed). Sister Saint-Paul [Renaud?], formerly at the Irish novitiate, is dead, and the Mother Superior of the Hôpital Général [Regnard Duplessis] is also dying [she would die on 13 December 1819]. The writer asks the addressee to forward to him the Journal de l'ami du Roy when received, and informs that he sold all the silk but not the braids ("galon").

Remarks: The only Sister Saint-Paul listed among the Augustinians de la Miséricorde de Jésus at the Hôpital Général is Marie-Charlotte de Saint-Paul (Renaud), who, however, is said to have died on 17 February 1821.
