Translation into Italian. According to the wishes of the bp. of Thyatira, vicar apostolic in Newfoundland [J.L. O'Donel, contained in his letter to the writer of 15 July 1804; see SOCG 007], the writer encloses a letter [O'Donel's?] to the Pope [Pius VII]. The writer lists the following candidates for the coadjutorship of the vicar apostolic in Newfoundland; [1] Brady, twice provincial of Ireland; [2] B. Stewart, currently provincial of Ireland; [3] Lambert, formerly provincial [of Ireland] and Guardian of Collegio San Isidoro in Rome [1783-4]. PF S, notes (according to the vicar apostolic's letter [?to Troy, of 15 July 1804; see SOCG 007], there are c.15,000 Catholics in Newfoundland). Re PF's answer of [27] April 1805 [see Lettere 010].
