Depositions on probated French notary paper concerning the actions of the bp. of Petraea [Laval] towards the monastery of Lestrées including a record of the opposition to the alienation and secularization of the conventual revenues of the abbey Lestrées as recorded by its monks [La Verge and Vallée] efforts of La Verge and Vallée to enter the Cistercian abbey of Noa; report by Michel Chevalier on Laval's refusal to accept La Verge and Vallée at Lestrées; Chevalier's request (refused) that Laval show document ordering La Verge and Vallée to Noa; arrêt ordering Laval to pay an annual pension of 200 livres each for the sustenance of La Verge and Vallée; and an account of the building ruins of Lestrées and Chevalier's report of the accusations of La Verge and Vallée of the ruins caused by Laval. In an appended note in Latin the depositions are authenticated by the abp. of Rouen [Harlay].
