LS., S.d.S. to IN.: The bp. of Québec [Laval] has renewed his supplication for the union of the conventual revenue of the abbey of Maubec and of the abbatial and conventual revenues of the abbey of Lestrées to the church of Québec. To examine the request of the Pope [Innocent XI] has mandated a special Congregation which would like the bp.s nearest to these abbeys to verify the enclosed [see no. 398] articles. The IN. should pass these on to the bp. [recte abp.] of Bourges [Phélypeaux] and to the bp. of Evreux [Cauchon] with the aforesaid information of the Pope's intentions and return their replies as quickly as possible.
