C. A report on England, entitled "Relatione dello Stato della Religione Cattolica In Inghilterra mandata dall'Abb.e Agretti il dì 14. Xmbre 1669." As for North America, the report deals with Maryland, where Baron Baltimore [Charles Calvert] has been refused missionaries for 24 years; the mission is reserved to the English Jesuits, who do not send anybody there. There are currently only two missionaries in Maryland [a likely reference to H. Pelham and G. Pole] for 2,000 Catholics. The writer suggests that the matter be entrusted to the Internuncio [in the Flanders, Airoldi], or to Howard.
