LS. The writer, who for 34 years has been vic. general in France of the diocese of Québec, writes at the request of the N. in France [Pamphili Colonna]. The enclosures with this letter are repectively marked "A" [see Varia 394] (a report on religion in Québec), "B" [see Varia 395] (an inventory of the various missions), "C" [see C 2] (a question regarding marriages submitted to the Sorbonne with the Sorbonne's answer), "D" [see Varia 396] (a petition to Clement XIII on the same matter), "E" [see Varia 397] (C of a decree of the Holy Office, under Clement IX, on the same matter), "F" [missing] (a list of indulgences requested by the diocese of Québec). The writer does not enclose the act of election (dated 20 [recte 30] Sep. 1763 [see Varia 403]) of the new bp. [Montgolfier], since the latter is in London with the representative of the chapter [La Corne].
