ALS. The writer informs the addressee that the prefect in the mission of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, [J.-F.] Becquet, left for France during the past year [in 1775?], and did not return. He has already informed L'Îsle-Dieu [La Rue] and [F.] Becquet, Superior of the Séminaire du Saint-Esprit. He asks that [J.-F.] Becquet be sent back to the islands with the extraordinary faculty to confirm, as very few among the inhabitants of the islands have ever been confirmed. Re PF answer [to Paradis] of 26 Mar. 1777. B: 160r.
