An inscription on the Scarborough war memorial located at the Kingston Road and the Danforth Road in Scarborough states that the memorial was unveiled by Admiral of the Fleet, Earl Jellicoe, on 30 August 1931, assisted by George S. Henry, Premier of Ontario, and dedicated by the Honourable Reverend Canon J.H. Cody.
