This print depicts the image of the HMS Investigator crew pulling a sledge across ice and snow, in between cliffs, on a gloomy day in the Arctic, as seagulls fly above., This is a loose, smaller copy of sketch number 8 of the 8 Cresswell sketches depicting the voyage of HMS Investigator, There are damp marks along the top LC streching to the middle of the print.
