A native family is seen in the foreground. A man is seated on grass, wearing a combination of Western and Native style clothes with a gun by his side. A woman in a peaked cap is carrying a baby on a carrying board on her back and is watching a boy playing with a bow and an arrow. A dog is running by her side. Below the hill where they are sitting, there is a large field where horses are running and workers are labouring. In the distance, the port is bustling with activities., Special points of interest are marked by different number of birds flying over them, and labelled on l.l. corner in print., The image is matted. The support is generally yellowed with age.
