Ontario Motion Picture BureauDescription:Film about Fort Williams and Port Arthur. Scenes of Port Arthur harbour, boats, railroad tracks, hotel and customs building. The exterior of the Whalen Building is shown, and the business district is displayed by a shot taken from the front of a streetcar. Other features of Port Arthur shown are the Collegiate Institute, Current River Park, and the giant grain elevators along the waterways. Several features of Fort William are also shown: the harbour, railyards, grain elevators and the city in the distance. An extended shot shows the workings of the largest double-decked jack-knife bridge on the continent as it lowers and a train crosses it. Nearby is the enormous Mount McKay. Further away, but still within easy distance is Kakabeca Falls, shown from a variety of angles. The final intertitle reads: "Keep yourself up-to-date on developments in your own province by Regularly seeing Ontario Government Films." <11mn>Language:Silent with English intertitlesOriginal number:1360~1361Notes:Detailed holdings information: -
