Film about a reunion held in Toronto, Ontario of Canadian veterans of the First World War. The first reel contains the following intertitles: "April 22nd, 1915 - the Flemish landscape drowses almost peacefully under the declining sun - suddenly the crash of shells, and over Langemarck two billowing yellow clouds - the first German attack--"; "--and in Toronto, April 22nd, 1934, two thousand veterans march in the grand parade to celebrate the re-union of the 1st Canadian contingent"; "Major-General Garnet Hughes speaks into the microphone in the south armouries on University Avenue in the presence of--"; "Lt. Colonel Baptist Johnston, V.D., Colonel J.E.L. Streight, M.C.V.D., A.D.C., Captain F.J. Waters, M.M., and Major-Generals R. Rennie, C.M.G., D.S.O., and Victor Williams, C.M.G."; "Leaving the armouries - the 48th Highlanders furnishes both a band and the guard of honour." "At the head of the parade with other famous soldiers - Brigidier J (T?) B. Anderson, D.S.O., the G.O.C. Military District No. 2"; "Mr. W. May, 1st vice-president of the originals Club, Toronto, leading the Toronto Division."; "Banners - and wreaths to be laid on the cenotaph in memory of comrades who fell in defence of their country"; "The band of the originals Club"; " 'Old sweats' - From all parts of Canada - they came to join in the re-union celebrations" and "The London, Ontario, veterans carry their own banner". Reel Two contains the following intertitles: bugle band out in front"; "Old soldiers never die - the 3rd Battalion, led by the president of their association, Major G.R. Dingle""There are mair pipers than ane - ask the Irish regiment"; "Old Contemptibles - it was to laugh but the joke was on the ex-kaiser"; "The guard of honour is inspected by the Lieutenant-Governor, Dr. Herbert A. Bruce, R.A.M.C., F.R.C.S. and Brigidier Anderson" and "The wreath of the 1st Canadian contingent re-union, deposited by the president of the Toronto originals, Captain F.J. Waters, M.M.".

1. Originally described under three separate idc's: (302175 - PARADE OF THE ORIGINALS); 302419 [REMEMBRANCE DAY PARADE INCOMPLETE] and 347272 [VETERANS' DAY PARADE : incomplete] but further research indicates that the reels are all part of the same film.~2. Crown material over 50 years - copyright expired.
