This depiction of a buffalo is notable for the eccentric portrayal of the creature's head. The hair on the head is parted, forming a fringe; the eyes are large and exhibit a startled expression. His mouth is open revealing a row of perfect white teeth and, most provocatively, a long tongue extends out one side of its mouth. The source of this print has not been identified.
