Subject depicts a wood paneled interior with heavy drapery, and stained glass windows. There is one young woman sitting beneath the window reading [?], and a second woman standing beside her. Between these two women is a pedestal with a statuette., The circa date for this image is derived from the dates given to other images painted at Sutton court by the Shaw-Lefevres which are included in the album.
