General note:

Located on folio 8 (recto) of Album, "Reminiscences of North America / I / T.E.B." This album was compiled by Thomas Evans Blackwell, general manager of the Grand Trunk Railway, and it includes watercolours, drawings, maps, and photographs.
William H. E. Napier accompanied Henry Youle Hind's expedition to the Red River colony and the Canadian West in 1857-8. In the final report, several drawings are attributed to and/or signed by Napier. This watercolour may be connected to this expedition.
