Depicted, at the upper left side of the drawing, are a man and a woman in a swiming pool, both dressed in office attire, the man holding a briefcase. The two figures are struggling to keep their heads barely above water, while their feet are being held down with chains, which extend to the bottom of the pool. In the scene, the attention of the man (whose head is turned away from the direction that he is facing) and the woman have been momentarily drawn to a scale of hours, indicated, at the right hand side of the drawing, on the wall of the pool - the highest figure (70hrs), of which is level with the water line
