The photograph shows 37 miniatures by G.S. Hayward. The exhibition probable took place in Buffalo N.Y., since take is where they were photographed (also see 1975-10-22 - a booklet entitled Miniatures (p. viii) which refers to a Hayward exhibition in Buffalo). Among the miniatures are family portraits. Note the portraits of his children compared to those showing them at an earlier age in a photo (1975-10-29). The miniature titled Harold S. Hayward Jr. has been identified as G.S. Hayward's grandson. In an article in the 'The Toronto Star Weekly'. April 3, 1926 Hayward refers in 9 quotation to his son Harold in Chicago., April 1975 - when accessioned the edges were worn.
