Description:

Part of a broadcast from the Canadian National Exhibition Coliseum for the opening of the first Canadian International Hobby and Homecraft Show. Fashion commentator [Edie Howser] describes clothes worn by children. Cy Strange announces that the hobby show will run to February 14, 1953. The program promises to enact the coronation ceremony of Queen Elizabeth II coming up in June, but this is not shown. There are appearances by Jack [Soles], the President of the Canadian International Homecraft and Hobby Show, and by Ontario Premier Leslie Frost. The final item on the recording is a show of women's clothes. One model is shown smoking.
