The drawing depicts a scene overlooking a lake by moonlight; in the foreground left are three people on a hill and in the foreground right are two people in a canoe. The drawing is done on specially prepared paper which is painted over with tempera. The drawing is done over the paint and in several areas the paint is scratched off to reveal the white of the paper. The painted area is oval., April 1975 - when accessioned the drawing was soiled and the surfaces was marked in several place. There are several creased in the paper.
