Description:

A tribute to Leonard W. Brockington upon his death, by the Reverend [Emyln Davies]. Leonard Brockington's occupation as lawyer, businessman, advisor to William Lyon Mackenzie King, and Canadian broadcaster are reviewed in a voice-over commentary with a still photo of Brockington. Reverend Davies' brief verbal tribute follows, highlighting "Brock's" early life, his love for classics, devotion to Welsh culture, early graduation, position as teacher of English and grammar, career as journalist in Edmonton, city solicitor in Calgary, public speaker, and first chairman of the CBC, his Second World War service to Canada as an advisor and interpreteur, the recognition he received for wartime service, his personal qualities of charm, courage and wit, and his disposition as a simple man and a commoner. <30mn>
