This watercolour was attributed to Unknown III due to the fact that the hand writing which appears on the verso is the same as the handwriting on other sketches in the NA collections which are given to Unknown III. There is a pencil sketch on the verso depicting ships and a mountainous shoreline (possibly the St. Lawrence). Further research seems to indicate that Unknown Artist III is A.C. Mercer (see documentation, Mercer file : 705-14).
