This sketchbook is a compilation of information possibly used for later drawings especially those in history texts. Scott pays special attention to uniforms and artifacts dating 1759-1800. Most of the sketches are taken form reference books and he quotes descriptive passages from these sources to accompany the sketches. Some of the sketches are taken from life sketches at the Royal Ontario Museum (1951)., From the collection of the artist., Excellent reference for analysis of Scott's completed work., ISN numbers for this sketchbook are: 92863 to 92933 and 177779., Accession No. for Sketchbook XVIII - 1973-8-890 to 1973-8-961.
