This group of sketches contains 35 unbound drawings; along with the watercolours. There are several clippings from magazines most of which are examples of watercolour techniques., Several of the undated items can be dated accurately if compared to some of the sketches contained in the sketchbook, since the subject matter is similar, (i.e. number 555 the Coast of Cuba was probably done during Scott's trip to Cuba and the sketches in the sketchbook would indicate that the year was 1938)., The watercolours are of varying degrees of completeness and most are of Canadian scenery., See isn: 91009, 91011, 91013, 91025-91057. Excluding 91032., Accession No. for Sketchbook XII - 1973-8-545 to 1973-8-579., This group of 35 drawings was formerly designated as Sketchbook XII, however all 35 items are loose and therefore do not possess the properties of a sketchbook. Therefore, 1973-8-545 through 1973-8-579 will now be considered as single items only and will no longer be categorized under the title of Sketchbook XII.
