album: An album of photographs and sketches dating from 1828 to 1903, mostly views of various villages in the South of England, as well as Bond Head, Hamilton, Orillia, Chippawa, Parry Sound, Port Arthur, St. Mary's, Sault St. Marie, Ontario; the Maritimes; Vermont, Quebec and Lake Superior.

Signatures and inscriptions note:

Inscribed. Dated., Inscription: in black ink, recto l.l.: Stigman House/ Island of orleans/ 1875; in black ink, l.c.: on the spot where the house stands [?]/ In the year 1650 the Jesuit Fathers built for the...[illegible] a House of prayer also a fort (partly of stone) the remains of this were/ found in the year 1856 (partial transcription)
