This is image 1 of [33] photographic images and artworks attributed to the "A Souvenir of Victoria" album. The original order of the materials in the album was not confirmed when the album was dismantled and the images separated by medium for preservation treatment. The artworks in the accession were assigned new LAC item numbers following the album's dismantlement. Creator item numbers have been added to reflect the oldest known order of the images in the album, and are based on an early finding aid. Please use the item number indicated by the terms of use for any attribution or credit line.

The watercolour painting of Vancouver Island Leaves is painted on a pink satin fabric. In the right corner of the fabric is placed a black piece of cardboard that has gold trim around the corners. On this piece are glued skeleton leaves and straws. The skeleton leaves are attached to each other by thin wire. The image is glued to a page from a photo album in which it originally came.
