Interview with Dr. Graham Cooch, senior scientist with the Canadian Wildlife Service, who talks about the progress the whooping crane has made as a result of the breeding program to remove it from the endangered species list. He outlines the history of its near extinction, its habitat in Wood Buffalo Park, banding of all the cranes and the strict monitoring of its slow comeback. Additional recordings of press releases by Minister of Transport John Crosbie on various topics mainly about grants for development projects for Newfoundland in the fields of research, agriculture and industry.
