Series consists of Graeme McDonald's notebooks from trips he took to different areas of China while accompanying visiting groups, including the a delegation of Canadian scientists specializing in permafrost and the visit of the Canadian Brass. There are notes from tours of various factories, historic sites etc. as well as some of his own personal observations and remarks. Also included are some briefing materials, programmes, and other documents relating to the tours as well as speech notes from a talk he gave about China following his return to Canada.
