Film about Prince Albert National Park in Saskatchewan. It begins with intertitles in mock-Indian language, followed by a brief prelude giving the history of the park. T.C. Davis got the idea to create the park in 1925 and Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King proclaimed it a national park in 1928. The footage begins brief shot of Mackenzie King, circa the late 1930s, standing on a sidewalk after getting out of a car, with a crowd of people around. Next is a shot of Justice T.C. Davis, Judge of the Court of Appeal, standing in shirtsleeves outside a log building, possibly at the park. The rest of the film consists of footage taken at the park, as follows: lake, trees and other park scenery; sign for Bluebell Watershed, elevation 2300 feet; building at entrance to the park; car pulling a trailer goes into the park; buffalo at entrance; scenes taken while driving along park road; wildlife on road and roadside, including deer, fox and bear cubs; lakes; more scenes of animals; waterfowl; people boating and swimming at Waskesiu Lake; sailboats; airplane docked at lake; man on a surfboard being towed by a motorboat; campground registration office; Mrs. George Pease, the first white woman resident of the park area; park buildings including park administration building and museum building; pioneer boatman Alex Pease, shown outside a building and in a boat fishing; intertitle explaining that Alex Pease supplies tourists with whitefish fillets ready for their skillet; pelicans; park officials welcoming Department of Natural Resources Essay Winners as they get off plane; pontoon-equipped plane arrives at dock, back from northern outposts; people on a picnic; boy identified as K.C. holding a large fish; more park buildings; people playing golf; people playing tennis; white birch along Waskesiu Lake; and close-ups of birch trees killed by thoughtless visitors who peeled birch bark off trunks; misty scenes of animals in the early morning, such as bear cub.~Also scenes of Waskesui beach, people lying on beach; boats and canoes on lake; spectators gathering for Regatta; boats with names Shamrock and Queen shown; Bill Stothers; Harry Houghton (no intertitles to identify Stothers and Houghton); swimming races; man with microphone; canoe races; sailboat races; motorboat races; diving competition; Betty McGregor, Western Canada champion diver; more swimming races and diving; men's 1-mile race; women's 1-mile race; Jean Wimmer, winner of the 1-mile women's provincial championship swim race; boys in canoes joust with one another; crab race; tub race; more scenes of wild animals in the park; intertitle explains that it took many days to film the animals in the wild; animals shown include skunk, toad, loon, duck, killdeer, nighthawk, owl, foxes, porcupine, beaver, bear, elk and moose.
