Transparent couleur : devant de l'oeuvre dans le médaillon, Le médaillon est placé dans un étui à charnières en cuir bourgogne, William Taylor (1789-1834) était le fils d'un pionnier loyaliste qui s'est installé à Fredericton (Nouveau-Brunswick). Il est devenu partenaire dans l'entreprise familiale. Il est aussi devenu coroner pour le comté de York en 1819 et membre de l'Assemblée législative du Nouveau-Brunswick en 1822. Il a fait partie du comité chargé de la construction de l'église Saint Paul's à Fredericton. Il a épousé Anne Cameron en 1816, puis Sally Hatfield en 1819. Ce portrait miniature est un don de l'arrière-petite-fille du modèle.
