First drawing of the city of New Westminster, B.C. showing the H.M.S. "Plumper" decorated for the Queen's birthday., Captain Robert Mann Parsons was sent to B.C. in the summer of 1858 by Colonial Secretary of State, Sir Edward B. Lytton to build New Westminster. Parsons was the commander of the first detatchment of the Royal Engineers for B.C., Secondary support joined in three parts., The left side of the image and part of the lower left side of the secondary support are discoloured.

Note that this work has for some reason been also assigned the accession number 1990-313-1X. It is located in container 2000791512 and is not in the solander box with other items from 1930-001.
