View of Niagara Falls from the upper bank of the river. The horseshoe falls are in the centre, with the American falls to the left. Twenty-two small figures stand on the upper bank in the foreground, looking out at the falls. There is a steamer at the far edge of the horseshoe. A dramatic rainstorm agitates the water of the upper river in the background., This work is one of several views of Niagara Falls in the William Molson Macpherson collection. It was once framed., Sebron exhibited regularly at the Paris Salon between 1831 and 1878. This engraving is taken from one of his large oils.
