This sketchbook is cover with maroon coloured leather and has a metal clasp, as well as a pencil holder attached to the back cover. The inside cover has a fold flap with a card enclosed. The card is inscribed in ink: Ferd. Willems / Lichthof No 12 / à / Cologne. On the flap itself there is a printed label with the inscription: LONDON / PREPARED PAPER / METALLIC MEMORANDUM / BOOKS, / WITH METALLIC PENCIL. / - / THESE BOOKS WILL BE FOUND OF / GREAT ADVANTAGE / WHERE THE WRITING / IS NECESSARY TO BE PRESERVED. / THE INDEBILITY IS INSURED BY USING / THE ACCOMPANYING PENCIL., This sketchbook belonged to Charlotte Mount Brock Morrell who became Charlotte Schreiber following her marriage in 1875 to Weymouth George Schreiber.
