9 Sketchbooks and 15 (approx.) large works. Sketches for political cartoons, mostly of FLQ trials, 1970-71., On 'Hi Art' board. Sprayed with fixative. Head and shoulders view of Paul Rose and lawyer Pierre Cloutier. Rose leans on one arm toward his lawyer. He has a mustache and curly unkept hair. He is dressed in a pullover. Cloutier is dressed in court robe, has long curly hair which lies on the back of his robe. He wears glasses., Since no cameras were allowed in court, this illustration was one used on the television news to illustrate the progress of the trial., Rose accepted Cloutier as his defense counsel. Then decided to conduct his own defense, and retain Cloutier as an advisor. He was expulsed from the court on several occasions for misbehaviour, yet persisted in refusing defense counsel, so as not to give the impression that he recognized the legitimacy of the court that was trying him.
