a rough unfinished sketch, which was crossed out, of a figure standing in a doorway, On a separate sheet attached to an earlier drawing is a brief description of Macpherson's meeting with Mr. Drapeau. About this drawing, he says: Mayor Drapeau looking thru' more election material. The Mayor allowed me in to sketch him and (apart from general news conference) as far as I know I'm the only outsider that has been granted a personal visit in present crisis., He got a great belly laugh by introducing me to one of his functionaires as the cartoonist from the Telegram. We didn't talk about the 'troubles' -- but joining him in the elevator he was totally absorbed in reading the latest developments in the newspaper (Montréal-Matin). A very human and courteous man. [troubles were FLQ crisis]
