In a rare television interview with Nat Hentoff, Bruce exhibits some of the unpredictable and out-spoken characteristics which earned him notoriety as an entertainer. In the interview he gives an ad-lib discourse on religious history and other topics. Three critics pass judgement on Bruce: British journalist Malcolm Muggeridge, calls him a moralist and compares his form of satire to that of Jonathan Swift; Kenneth Tynan, formerly of the London Observer, sees Bruce as unrivaled by anyone on the London stage; and Gene Shepherd, New York radio broadcaster and writer, views Bruce as a potential danger to society and representative of a trend leading to totalitarianism. <30mn>Language:EnglishDetailed holdings information: -
