These replacement medals were also deemed unsatisfactory as the silver plating soon wore off. In response to native leaders' complaints, these Dominion medals were replaced with another medal struck by Wyons of London. The new medals were made of silver and featured the profile of Queen Victoria's head on the obverse and i the image of a staff officer and a native leader shaking hands on the reverse. In addition to replacing the Dominition Treaty medal, these medals were given to native leaders to commemorate thhe signing of Treaties 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7., These replacement medals were also deemed unsatisfactory as the silver plating soon wore off.
