For further information as to this work, please consult the medal card catalogue according to the a208 field., The Sherritt Mint, Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, was commissioned to produce these replica medals by the Manitoba Centennial Corporation., An example of the medal presented by Her Majesty the Queen, to 57 Chiefs of the Manitoba Indian Brotherhood at The Pas Reserve in Manitoba. The medal bears the portrait of Her Majesty (obverse) and the image found on the original treaty medal of the Indian Chief and government negotiator shaking hands (reverse). The occasion of the presentation was the first time the Sovereign had personally presented medals to the Chiefs.
