Subject depicts two standing figures. Native Woman is wearing a 'top hat', cloak, dress and pants. The man in the Buffalo Coat stands with back to audience and his arm out stretched to the woman., See other works in the Winkworth Collection which have also been attributed to Gipps., This work closely resembles a work in the Kirkland Album (accession no 1985-070), especially an image of a Lorette Indian (C-124981)
