Subject depicts a landscape with mountains in the distance; some dead trees with no branches in l.r.; very prominent blue line of trees in c., who is tovey?, Cheam is located on the north shore of Lake Cheam near Chilliwack, B.C., The name Cheam is derived from the Halkomelem word meaning, 'Wild Strawberry Place.', 1890 was significant in the town of Cheam because during that year, the first Methodist Church was being built. Perhaps Tovey was part of this project?
