Image depicting the countryside surrounding Montreal, where a group of people seem to be harvesting something from the trees. A couple of hunters is also visible in the lower left corner of the work. This composition strongly resembles the Bouchette watercolour listed under accesion number R9266-53., The secondary support, which is attached to a newer mount with hinged matting, seems to have lost its original matting (traces of glue remain around the edges)., The older matting, which is no longer attached to the work, included the following inscription: "THE CITY OF MONTREAL, 1828 / JOSh BOUCHETTE, Jnr D.S.G."
