Cover: "The Sleigh Drive - Getting Ready" by Henri Julien, depicting a busy crowd in a snowy scene with people riding horse-drawn sleighs.

Page: An article on new and old Montreal, with several illustrations of "Ancient Montreal": "Place d'Armes, Governor Carleton Reviewing his Troops Before Attacking Ethen Allan at Longue Pointe, 1775", "Montreal Harbour, 1818", "General View of Montreal, 1803", "Notre-Dame Street, 1804", "Great St. James Street, 1837", and "Montreal Costumes, 1800".

Page: Entitled "Modern Montreal, 1883". Continuation of the article on old and new Montreal, with several illustrations, including a detailed aerial view of the city, with an accompanying "list of objects of interest in key to the city".
