George IV (1768-1830)., This portrait of the eldest son of King George III and Queen Charlotte, was painted by Henry Bone (1755-1834), Principal Painter to the Prince, in 1815. An inscription with the miniature states that it was painted after an original portrait by Sir Thomas Lawrence, court painter to the King. The artist is known to have worked primarily in enamel.
