On the obverse side, the medal bears a bust of King Louis XIV, engraved by Jean Mauger (1648-1722).
On the reverse side, the medal bears the figure of a woman symbolizing the city of Québec with fleet flags and banners bearing the arms of England behind her. Below her sits a beaver representing the residents of Canada. Further, the god of the St. Lawrence River is lying by his mountainside domain (presumably the Laurentians).Additional name(s):Additional information:General note:Source unknown.
