Gélinas rappelle que la conception de "Tit-Coq" remonte à 1948-49, mais a refait surface en 1981 grâce à Gilles Pelletier qui voulait monter la pièce. Afin d'expliquer le succès de "Tit-Coq", Gélinas dit que son public à sûrement fait un lien entre le thème de la bâtardise et le peuple québécois qui se sent abandonné par sa mère et cherche sa famille. Il raconte que l'idée de "Tit-Coq" lui est venue grâce à son personnage du conscrit, retrouvé dans deux de ses revues en 1945-46, Il dit avoir voulu raconter une histoire d'amour qui fait rire mais, qu'inconsciemment, il a fait l'inventaire de la société québécoise en touchant à des thèmes tels que la famille, l'église et la guerre. Gélinas croit que cette pièce peut avoir beaucoup d'intérêt pour les plus jeunes puisqu'elle aborde des thèmes qui les concernent. <13mn>Language:FrançaisNotes:Detailed holdings information: -
