William Stone to Monckton. L.S.. Acknowledging , by direction of the Governor, Monckton's letters of the 14th and 23rd of September. The stores ordered are being, as far as possible, sent by the Ulysses, and the Governor enjoins strict care and economy in the use of them. The Governor is greatly pleased with Monckton's refusal of Le Loutre's request that he should go over and see the latter and recommends the greatest caution as to venturing into such doubtful hands. The Courts-Martial should be directed to the Governor, and not to the Judge-Advocate in England, which course Mr. Moncrief has been following.
