Description:

A study of arguments for and against capital punishment. In this program, experts are consulted, cases of violent murder are examned, and some futuristic methods of modifying psycopathic behaviour are looked at. Interviews are held with: Dick Wilson, former prison guard; Otto Lang, Justice Minister; Dr. Ezzat Fattah, crimnologist at the University of Montreal; Dr. Keith Pearce, psychiatrist; Eldon Wooliams, the M.P. for Calgary North; Frank Miller, parole expert; Cliff Lurvey, once sentenced to hang; Senator Earl Hastings; and Dr. F.E. Leblanc, a neurosurgeon. Shots include: Toronto's Don Jail; Alberta's Drumheller Penitentiary; and a surgical operation to remedy Parkinson's Disease. <58mn>
