Letters and briefs sent to the Communist Party of Canada from party member John Boyd chronicalling Boyd's impressions of the role of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) in the Prague Spring of 1968; Boyd's growing disillusionment comment with both the CPSU and the Canadian Communist Party, and an analysis of the actions on the part of the Canadian Communist Party which led to Boyd's decision to sever all ties with them. A letter written by a British Communist, John Gibbons, examining the reasons for his loss of faith in Communism is also included (vol. 2).
